Worth has doubled its welding lab size and focused on the future of pipe welding with 16 new Miller PipeWorx™ machines. Students at Tarrant now receive the hands-on pipe welding experience they need to meet the growing industry demand for trained welders.
A Texas State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) grant is behind the expansion of the lab. The SECO grant was made available to schools that focus on energy sector training centers and teaching students skills applicable to the oil and gas and renewable fuels industries.
